Kimi Peck bought this healthy puppy from a backyard breeder. The money she used was from Chihuahua Rescue's bank account.
In 2003, one of Peck's many convictions was because she had "156 dogs on property, only allowed 113 Chihuahuas..." Burbank Animal Control stated in a ticket. She was also cited for conditions that were considered 'unsanitary'.
In 2005, Lt. Bruce Speirs stated "In May Peck had a high of 350 dogs on property..." way above her legal licensed limit.
Why then, would Kimi Peck not only take in more and more dogs that were surrendered to her (because she claimed she would take 'care' of them), but also drive hundreds of miles out of her way to BUY expensive cute puppies from backyard breeders?
Taking in many more dogs than a person can properly handle and adequately take care of, is a behavior associated with ANIMAL HOARDING. Kimi Peck was not charged or convicted with hoarding. We wonder if hoarding will ever become a law in California.
