According to Chihuahua Rescue's 2008 tax return, filed in October of '09 by 'volunteer' accountant, Susan Marlowe, even though Kimi Peck refused to apply for a permit to operate a kennel and even though she claimed she was no longer a rescue, again, Chihuahua Rescue's tax returns tell a much different story...Looks like Chihuahua Rescue continues to pay Kimi Peck's bills and expenses in Tehachapi, where Ms. Peck is residing...Not bad for breaking the law! Looks like Chihuahua Rescue needs to be audited!

Check out Kimi Peck's complete history in Los Angeles' Criminal Court and Kern County Criminal Court pertaining to her 'rescuing'.
To Kimi Peck's defense, she claims she's done nothing wrong and all of the charges AND convictions are because of a conspiracy. She further states she's one of the best animal 'rescuers' in the country.
She's served her time in Kern for severe animal cruelty...a whopping 1.5 years!!!! She'll hopefully serve more years for social security fraud. In addition, animal lovers are hoping she'll then serve time in Riverside County for animal cruelty. Cynthia Gudger appears to be a con artist and a good one at that.
Go figure! These two women picked the right town to allegedly break many many laws! Let's hope the Feds and the CPA board aren't as gullible as KERN COUNTY. FYI. We'll be updating Hoardingchihuahuas in the next week!
Will Kern County continue to be a haven for animal hoarders or will Kern County finally realize they have a problem? Will they hire experienced employees or will they continue to, in many people's opinion, waste taxpayer dollars? Looks like Kern County will continue to be a SAFE HAVEN FOR ANIMAL HOARDERS!
'Rescuer' Kim Maggio who works with Chihuahua Rescue and Kimi Peck, was arrested for animal cruelty. It also appears that Susan Marlowe has had relations with Kim Maggio. Are we surprised? Absolutely NOT! Here's the story:
Kimi Peck in jail
Animal Rescuer Kimi Peck, who missed a court hearing Monday in Mojave, was arrested Friday evening and booked in the Sheriff's downtown jail in Bakersfield on bail of $40,000.
The hearing was on misdemeanor charges — brought by the Kern County Animal Control Department — of failing to license the 200 dogs which she cares for on property on Bear Valley Road in Tehachapi.
Peck is also in legal hot water with the Kern County Engineering and Survey Services Department — which has ruled Peck has failed to get a conditional use permit which is required to operate her animal shelter on Bear Valley Road.
For more information about this inmate, contact the arresting agency (per Gov't Code 6254).
